In this tutorial, we will show you how to create a pass by transition effect in Adobe Premiere Pro. You will need two different video files to achieve this effect.

We will use one video where you pass behind a chair or a different object, and another video of anything else you want to show. You can shoot your own footage or use the downloadable files provided in this tutorial.

Once you have your video files, drag them both into a new composition. Set both videos to fit your screen and ensure they are the same size. Choose the portion where you want the transition to begin, so you know where to trim your footage. You can toggle the opacity to give your transition a different style.
