Creating a Scribble Effect for Music Videos with After Effects
In this tutorial, we will show you how to create the scribble effect seen in Bruno Mars' music video using Adobe After Effects. You can use your own footage or download stock footage to follow along with this tutorial.
First, drag your chosen footage into a new composition in Adobe After Effects. Make sure your frame rate is set at 24 frames per second. This is essential because you will be creating the drawing frame by frame, and at 24 frames per second, you will need to draw 6 frames less than at the default frame rate of 30 frames per second. You can still adjust the frame rate based on your preference.
