Creating the Best Origami Paper Unfold Lower Thirds Animation in After Effects

If you don't want to make this yourself, you can find the easy-to-use template here.

In this tutorial, we will be creating an origami paper unfold lower thirds animation in Adobe After Effects. Follow these steps to achieve this animation.

To begin, create a new full HD composition and rename it to "main comp." Set your frame rate and the length of your composition. Once you have your main composition, create a new shape using the shape tool. Use the polygon tool and toggle with the arrow keys to choose the number of points. For this tutorial, we will use three points to create triangles.

Manipulate your triangles to achieve the desired angles. Make your origami unfold in a way that creates a 3D layer. Move your anchor point around using the pan behind tool.
