Creating an Epic Force Shield for Film with After Effects
In this video tutorial, we will show you how to create a force field video effect for film using Adobe After Effects. You can download the footage used in this tutorial to follow along while watching the video.
Once you have your project files prepared, import the footage into a new full HD composition in After Effects. Create another composition for your fractal view and a solid layer for your fractal noise design. Change the type to dynamic progressive, then go to transform to adjust the brightness and contrast to eliminate dark spots from the scene.
Next, start manipulating the actual animation by applying your fractal noise field. You can also add some blur for effect and depth. Watch this video to learn more about creating this video effect.
